This page is dedicated to rewriting certain parts of the D&D 5e Lore to better suit the storytelling for the Fireflies.
Everything here will only detail the personal interpretations and changes made, and not what has already been presented in official sources.
This page (and really, the entire Fireflies Wiki) is always going to be in a work in progress, and what’s shown here is simply the current most updated stuff I’ve typed out!
Aasimars aren’t a race of their own, but instead just a sign of of a celestial bloodline, similar to how aasimars are in Pathfinder 2e (e.g. a kobold aasimar can exist). Alternatively, an aasimar can be ‘born’ when a regular person is chosen to be so, in one sense of the word or another.
Dragonborns generally aren’t born with tails, but a portion of the dragonborn population are born with them — the ratio of dragonborns without tails and those with tails is roughly 4:1.
Underdark drow society is still matriarchal, but male-presenting drow are not discriminated to the extremities of the canon lore. The biggest reasons for life in the Underdark being horrendous is the constant infighting and backstabbing spurred by Lolth, and the dangers of the creatures and plants found in the deep, dark caverns.
Drows living on the surface world aren’t generally discriminated against, but are an uncommon sight to see.
All genasis are commonly accepted in general society, though they’re still considered somewhat unusual. Though it’s more uncommon to, some may still fear their elemental heritage.
Though all kenkus mostly communicate with their mimicry, a kenku can — quite uncommonly — learn to speak on their own. Mimicry still comes more naturally to them.
Though society is generally accepting towards more uncommon races, kobolds and goblins are somewhat of an exception. The average person won’t actively discriminate against one, but certain biases may still creep up in regards to them. They’re often stereotyped against as weak, cowardly minions or criminals, despite whatever evidence there is against it.
Prejudice against kobolds are more prevalent in Icewind Dale.
Fiends do not have to be of evil alignment.
